Following the Kadima primaries, the government will become a transition government, stated Oron Fono, the deputy legal advisor to the government. Fono made his remarks in response to a question posed officials of the Land of Israel Legal Forum.

Fono explained that in essence, the government is not a transition government but since Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced his intentions to step down immediately following the Kadima election, then the government will indeed become a transition body as the nation prepares for new elections.
