Security forces at midnight on Monday clamped a closure on PA (Palestinian Authority) areas throughout Yehuda and Shomron. Residents of PA autonomous areas will not be permitted to cross the Green Line into pre-1967 Israel during this time period as intelligence community officials report there are dozens of warnings of planned terror attacks. Exceptions are made at military checkpoints in humanitarian cases.

Security will remain high in many areas during Rosh Hashanah, including the capital, with a focus on the Old City and the Kosel area. Public areas and shuls are also areas which receive special attention by police. Citizens are requested to exhibit vigilance during the Tishrei Yomim Tovim.

On Sunday, an Arab male was apprehended traveling on a bus to Betar Illit, disguised as a chareidi woman. He was turned over to security authorities for interrogation. An alert passenger on the bus noticed something was uneasy about the woman, reporting suspicions to the driver who radioed to the army.
