Israeli officials on Tuesday identified three of the four victims killed in this morning’s Iranian missile strike on the southern city of Be’er Sheva, including an off-duty soldier and his mother who were sheltering at home during the attack.

IDF Corporal Eitan Zacks hy”d, 18, a trainee in the elite Multidomain Unit, was confirmed as one of the fatalities. The military said that Cpl. Zacks was at home due to a shift to remote learning in his paramedics training course. He was killed alongside his mother, 50-year-old Michal Zacks hy”d, when a ballistic missile fired from Iran directly struck the safe room of their apartment.

Seventeen-year-old Noa Boguslavsky hy”d was also identified among the victims. Authorities have yet to publicly release the name of the fourth victim, who was a resident of a neighboring apartment in the same building.

The missile strike marked one of the deadliest single incidents in the ongoing wave of Iranian attacks that began on June 13 following the IDF’s surprise strikes on Iran’s nuclear program, top military commanders, and leading nuclear scientists.

A total of 28 individuals have been killed by Iran’s barrages, which have involved hundreds of ballistic missiles. All of the victims have been civilians, except for Cpl. Zacks.
