A grassroots gathering on behalf of Gilad Shalit is scheduled to get underway in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv at 7:15PM on Monday night. Some of the organizers explain the effort is not sponsored by an organization, but by people concerned over the soldier�s plight, wishing to do something now, during the Aseres Y�mei Tshuva.

The gathering will include some form of slichos, as well as speeches and it is being publicized on the radio in the hope of attracting a large audience. Among the participants will be the father of IDF soldier Ehud Goldwasser HY�D, whose body was returned to Israel in a prisoner exchange deal with Hizbullah.
