The Yesha Settlement Council has launched a new campaign intended in increasing support for yishuvim — Jewish communities located throughout Yehuda and Shomron.

In the past, the council highlighted the security contribution the communities play, providing a buffer between Green Line Israel and the areas under PA (Palestinian Authority) autonomous control. This is best seen following the government’s decision to uproot the Gaza Jewish community, placing the western Negev, Sderot and other populations in the direct line of fire of Hamas rockets.

In the new campaign however, the council has taken a drastic shift to stress the Biblical significance of Yesha areas, and the right of the Jewish People to settle the land.
