10 Chareidi Soldiers Forced To Serve With Women In Mixed Units

Chareidi soldiers. (IDF spokesperson)

About 10 Chareidi soldiers are being forced to serve at a mixed base together with female soldiers, contrary to regulations, Kol B’Rama Radio reported.

According to the report, the soldiers were discharged from the Chareidi Tomer and Netzach Yehuda battalions due to a lowered profile or other reasons and were transferred about two months ago to a base in Tzrifin, where they serve in mixed units with women.

They serve alongside female soldiers and commanders and eat in the same dining room.

This is in complete contradiction to orders, as they are still under the auspices of the Chareidi Administration.

The soldiers’ requests to transfer to a unit appropriate for Chareidim were rejected.

  1. And your anti-chareidy commentators still wonder why chareidim, including working ones, don’t serve in the treife army! Wouldn’t be surprised if they are sleeping in mixed quarters…
30-40 years ago it was common for working chareidim to join the army, but nowadays with the pressure of the leftist/secularists/feminists they turned it into a filthy night-club with all עבירות חמורות

  2. @Davidthekanoi oh so you think they would serve if they could make it not treife?? what log have you been living under? you represent neither side with your comment.

the chareidim have the power to affect change if they so wish. the problem is that , with a few exceptions, they don’t care if the army is treife or not, they just reject the idea of serving in the army entirely. so the army does whatever it wants with no repercussions.

  3. People with an agenda are expert at omitting extremely relevant details when they use the media and innocent bystanders for personal benefit.
    Tell us the entire story.
    Who are they?
    Why were they demoted?

Written by a woman who has been hurt repeatedly by men who claim to be too religious to look at women

  4. I find it fascinating that this article along with its anti Semitic comments jump to conclusions without ever verifying any of this with the soldiers.

It seems that those commenting negatively against the army are those that visit places (both on the internet and in person) a Frum Yid shouldn’t.

All this angry comments can only come from someone who has no control over his own actions and is protecting onto others their own weaknesses.

  5. Wow this is so surprising how could they do such a thing could it be that our rabbis are actually correct? Oh no most people think they’re stupid

  6. @dreambig the truth is that many Chareidim would serve if it wasn’t trief Im personally aware of several leading Rabbonim that would not only not oppose but will also encourage certain people to go if it wasn’t treif. I know you will say this is a fantasy but I’m aware of several people that were to specifically to told join by these rabbonim when Nachal Chareidi was started. These Rabbonim are now completely against the army as the army has proven that they will completely disregard any agreements they have made regarding allowing soldiers to maintain their levels of Yiddishkeit. I will add that one of these Rabbonim was approached regarding endorsing the new Chashmonaim brigade. In the original draft of regulations for this brigade many religious requirements were to be encoded in the bylaws and regulations of the brigade. However when the actual regulations were finalized all religious requirements were put in as preferred suggestions that can be overridden by any commanding officer and are not binding regulations. So in short the problem with the army is for the majority of the Chareidi population a practical problem of being forced to forgo their religious level.

  7. Sorry if you have been hurt by supposedly frum men. And sorry if you don’t know the whole story Even more sorry if you think for any reason at all they should be put in a mixed unit.

Call a spade a spade A religious person being put in a mixed unit against their will is a sabotage of all human rights. Not even taking promises into consideration

We all see the leftist woke side of all Israeli corruption

  8. This Minyan of Chareidi soldiers have been given a unique kiruv opportunity! They can organize minyanim (maybe Carlbauch style), give shiyurim, put tefillin on their fellow male soldiers and even offer the female soldiers to light shabbat candles! They can run shabbat meals, make kiddush for the battalion, sing zemiros and create a shabbaton atmosphere, followed by havdala, melaveh malka and an inspiring kumzitz. What an opportunity these 10 chareidi soldiers have!!! Do not squander this zechus!!!

  9. There has to be more to the story than is being reported here. Chareidim whose profile drops below Kravi are generally moved to non-combat positions in the Chareidi units – not into general units.

It is possible, though, that the soldiers themselves saw an opportunity in a non-Chareidi unit and asked to be transferred there – in which case the army would be happy to accommodate, even if Amutat Netzach still considers these soldiers to be under their auspices. Is that possibly the situation here?

    an Israeli Yid

  10. @Rebbetzin.
    Organize minyanim- Without Mechitzas.
Give Shiurim- Regarding the Torahs Acceptance of TG?..
Tefilin-They did or did not by the Chabad stand.
Shabbat Candles- The glass cup scented ones..
    Shabbat Meals-mixed.
    Kiddush- For Whom?
Sing Zemiros- With Kol Isha Erva ( live , according to all opinions).
Havdala & Kumzitz- Inspirational and hand all in a huddle.
    Where is G-D in this?

  11. Anytime theres article relating to charedim immediately you come to pour ice on it and knock them down, why don’t you just admit you’re a Nazi instead of an Israeli “yid”
