Over the past few days, YWN has been reporting on the growing chaos faced by travelers attempting to leave Israel during the ongoing war with Iran, particularly on El Al and other airlines.
Many passengers have described extremely frustrating and disturbing experiences, including a severe lack of customer support and communication from El Al while trying to rebook or receive assistance.
Also troubling are multiple reports involving U.S. State Department evacuation emails instructing Americans to arrive at the airport within just a few hours, only for passengers to rush there and discover the flight was canceled or unavailable.
There are many different stories emerging about what travelers are dealing with during this difficult situation.

Good question – what is the toeles of this? There’s a war going on at a time when hundreds and hundreds of Americans want to leave for Pesach. El Al has security concerns to address before the preferences of its clients. Things are working out the way the Ribono Shel Olam wants them to, and all the complaining in the world will not change that. For the record, I have an El Al ticket for yesterday, purchased 3 months ago, and have been bumped off flights 3 times so far.

Why can’t we simply tell our kids; “you chose to learn in Eretz Yisrael, there a war on and you can’t travel. We miss you greatly and love you dearly but that’s life. Keep steiging and we’ll see you as soon as we can.”
The concept of leaving Israel for chutz laretz via Eygpt highlights our dystopian society’s malfunctions and expectations.

Americans are so delusional. It’s a war. Get over it
Even if there is a toeles in this it’s assur for YWN to be peddling this, because if their animosity towards ElAl and seemingly thirst for revenge towards them, as evident from previous posts over the past few years. YWN has an obsession with ElAl and with Lev Tahor similar to the UNs obsession with Israel.
My daughter left Israel last Wednesday and bh had a smooth experience – it was long and tiring but everything was perfectly arranged down to the last detail. She went with Lalechet through Egypt and I am so grateful to them for everything they did and continue to do to help Klal Yisroel.
