Peleg Yerushalmi Protesters Clash With Police In Jerusalem, Water Cannons Deployed [VIDEOS]

A protest by Peleg Yerushalmi demonstrators against the arrest of a yeshiva bochur by Israel’s military police erupted Thursday near the intersection of Jaffa Street and Sarei Yisrael in Jerusalem, disrupting traffic and halting light rail service in the area.

According to reports, protesters blocked major roads and the light rail tracks, leading to significant transportation disruptions. Forces from the Jerusalem District Police and Border Police moved in to disperse the crowd and restore order.

Police declared the gathering an unlawful disturbance and ordered demonstrators to leave the area. After protesters refused to comply, officers began clearing the streets using force and water cannons in an effort to reopen traffic lanes and resume public transportation service.

In a statement, police stressed that while freedom of protest is permitted under the law, authorities “will not allow a blatant disruption of public order and freedom of movement,” adding that forces would continue operating “with determination to restore order.”

  1. What is more repugnant & reprehensible & despicable & disgraceful & shocking beyond belief:- 🇮🇱 arresting a Yeshiva Bochur for studying גמרא or 🇧🇪 arresting a מוהל for performing a ברית?

  2. Where are all the Gedolai HaDor in EY to go out and stop this ridiculous, dangerous behavior ? None of them even show up.

They must condone it and approve the young bochur a couple of months ago giving his life for it.

  3. 147,

The videos don’t show any of these rioters studying גמרא. They’re also going against the explicit directives of the Gadolei Hador, Shlita who instructed that the only response is to stay in the Beis Hamedrash!

  4. Why do people keep saying the rabbis should stop it when their way of life is under attack by these despicable torah hating leftists. They’re not letting them learn in peace so stop telling them not to protest and learn

  5. There was a peaceful protest march of hundreds of thousands frum yidden; yet they simple shrugged the shoulders and ignored us – THIS IS THE RESULT – YOU IGNORE US THERE WILL BE PEOPLE TAKING THE FIGHT; RIGHTLY OR WRONGLY – BUT BLAME THE A-G YM”S AND THE COURT FOR INCITING THE TROUBLE!

  6. I understand they hold that their learning protects them from mulsims so they don’t neef the army.

Why don’t they say that their learning should protect them from Tzahal and they don’t need to demonstrate?

  7. 147, equating indicting mohalim in Belgium to arresting draft evaders reflects severe inability to reason.

  8. DrAnti-Torah: Indicting Mohalim and arresting BNEI TORAH WHO ARE PILLAR OF THE JEWISH NATION, GIVING PROTECTION TO AM YISROEL IN ISRAEL AND ABROAD, GIVING THE RIGHT FOR A JEWISH STATE – ARE BOTH ANTI-SEMITISM TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE -AND SO ARE YOU!
BNEI TORAH ARE NOT DRAFT EVADERS – THEY COMPLIYING WITH THE DIRECTIONS OF THOSE WHO HAVE TRUE AUTHORITY, NAMELY OUR GEDOLIM!

  9. Kanoi,

The Gedolim clearly stated that Bnei Torah should stay in the Beis Medrash and not demonstrate. These rioters are not Bnei Torah and neither are you!

  10. >>> THIS IS THE RESULT – YOU IGNORE US THERE WILL BE PEOPLE TAKING THE FIGHT; RIGHTLY OR WRONGLY – BUT BLAME THE A-G YM”S AND THE COURT FOR INCITING THE TROUBLE! (DavidtheKanoi)

I’m not saying you are right or wrong but I am saying that you sound and think exactly like the Zionists in the early 1900s did. Particularly those of the Jabotinsky persuasion.

  11. @Hadofi; I am not a Ben Torah, I am a Baal Habayis, correct. Regarding complying with the Gedolim, I was referring to their refusal to join the army. Which of “their” Gedolim told them to protest, I don’t know, so I don’t comment on that.
@smerel; fortunately, I am NOT familiar with the early Zionists and Jabotinsky persuasion, but the point is; A-G and court STARTED the fight NOT us.

  12. Kanoi,

These bums don’t listen to or care about what the Gedolim say because it’s more fun to riot than learn!
