A 4-year-old boy was killed Monday evening after being struck by a bus on Route 3515 near the entrance to Karmi Tzur in Gush Etzion.

Magen David Adom paramedics and EMTs rushed to the scene after receiving the emergency call at 6:21 p.m. They found the child suffering from severe multi-system injuries and immediately began advanced life-saving efforts. Despite prolonged resuscitation attempts, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Senior MDA EMT Avital Appel said: “We saw the child lying on the road unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, with very severe injuries to his body after being struck by a bus. We provided advanced medical treatment and performed prolonged resuscitation efforts, but sadly his injuries were critical and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead.”

Traffic police from the Yehuda District responded to the scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. A traffic accident investigator has been assigned to the case.
