SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Today, Wednesday, is day 183 of the virtual Gaza ceasefire.

*Today is Gilad Shalit’s 906th day in Hamas captivity.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron on Tuesday night arrested six suspects.

*06:40: Two Kassam rockets land in southern Israel. No injuries.

*07:00: A number of Kassam rockets landed in the Eshkol Regional Council on Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported.

*Gaza crossings will remain closed on Wednesday.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Kadima Party members are taking part in primaries today to determine the party’s lineup for the general elections.

*Tens of police cars in the Tel Aviv district were involved in a predawn chase of a vehicle that did not stop for inspection in Cholon. The driver got onto the Ayalon Hwy. north and continued towards Herzliya. Eventually, as he tried to ram a police car the suspect vehicle flipped into a ditch and the three occupants were apprehended.
