PA: Gov’t Protection Will Not Prevent Legal Action Against Officers

PA (Palestinian Authority) Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki released a statement that the support given to IDF soldiers and officers will not prevent bringing legal charges against them for their actions during the Gaza War. The PA minister made his comments following a meeting in Brussels with EU representatives and officials from Turkey, Jordan and Egypt.

“There is no immunity against legal action of this type” he stated, hinting at other actions as well, but he declined to elaborate.

The statement followed the cabinet’s approval on Sunday of measures presented by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Ehud Barak, to provide total legal and other backing to military and government personnel who may face legal battles as a result of Operation Cast Lead.

  1. Since when is the PA busy with Legal action! What a joke!
    Any israeli going into the
Territory has more to fear of UNLEGAL ACTION they are totally lawless!

  2. When I read these stories, I just get mad. The PA constantly breaks the law of war, yet they threaten Israeli soldiers. The world needs to stand up to them once and for all, and deligitamize the PA and Hamas, the way the world did in Afghanistan and Iraq.
