According to IDF reports, soldiers operating in the Kabatia area of northern Shomron eliminated Allah Abu A-Rub, a senior area Islamic Jihad commander.

Terrorists opened fire at soldiers from Sayeret Duvdevan and Netzach Yehuda units near Jenin. The force returned fire, eliminating the senior commander who was also affiliated with the al-Quds terror cell. Many members of his cell were also taken into custody during the operation. Officials add that A-Rub was planning a major terror attack.

During a search of the commander’s home soldiers found an explosive device, weapons, ammunition, and a flak jacket.

PA sources report soldiers entered his and killed him, shooting him in his head. Other PA (Palestinian Authority) reports state that soldiers did not kill the commander, explaining the dead man is someone else.
