The Fatah-aligned leadership in Shechem, including the area governor, Jamal Muhison, announced on Wednesday if the negotiations with Israel fail, the only alternative remaining to Fatah is armed resistance. �Whoever believes negotiations is Fatah�s only option is mistaken�.

Muhison stressed the option of armed resistance is still a viable one, the daily HaMevaser reports.

Over 100,000 Fatah supporters stretched over 2 miles in the Shomron autonomous city to take part in the Fatah support rally on Wednesday. The event was part of ongoing Fatah-sponsored activities to increase support for the ruling party of Abu Mazen.
