HaRav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita brought added simcha to Purim for many as he made an appearance in shul on Wednesday night for megilla reading, about 11 months after taking ill last Pesach. The Rav was also in shul on Thursday morning, and accepted visitors for about 90 minutes.
Rav Mordechai Shlita was accompanied by his son, Chief Rabbi of Tzfas Rav Shmuel Eliyahu, as well as by Rav Yaakov Yosef and Rav Shlomo Aviner.
Premier-designate Binyamin Netanyahu met with Rav Mordechai privately for about one hour. Netanyahu updated the Rav on ongoing coalition talks and other pertinent issues.
According to reports, the Rav explained to the incoming prime minister that policies must be changed and there is no reason the Torah community and yishuvim must constantly fight and beg for their existence, also calling on the incoming premier to address the needs of the Gush Katif expellees which to date have for the most part been ignored.

He is a true tzadik. Baruch HaSh-m that he is well enough to make a public appearance! Keep praying for Mordechai Tzemach ben Mazaltov.
Hashem should grant him many more yrs to stand up for Torah, Eretz Yisroel and Am Yisroel.
Shouldn’t megillah laining in Yerushalayim have been Tuesday night and Wednesday on 15 Adar, as oppoosed to 16 Adar?
