As the World Health Organization works to get a handle on the rapidly spreading swine flu, now diagnosed in Mexico, Texas, California and other areas — and likely to have reached at least ten people currently being tested in New Zealand, there are fears it may have reached the shores of Eretz Yisrael.
Officials in Laniado Hospital in Netanyahu on midday Sunday report a 26-year-old male exhibiting signs of the illness recently returned from Mexico. He has been placed in isolation in the hospital.
Health Ministry officials have been notified. There is no additional information at this time.
