Bnos Agudath Israel Networks To Meet Challenges

Leaders and advisors of Bnos Shabbos groups have begun networking via telephone to set goals and share ideas.  Approximately 60 branch leaders across the country participated in a national conference call on May 3 to discuss common concerns.  One focus of the conference call was the recruitment of leaders for the coming year.  Another was the need to upgrade Bnos for junior high school girls by providing innovative and stimulating programming.  And the participants brainstormed as well about ideas for the annual leadership convention, which is in the process of being scheduled.

“Leadership training and a sense of responsibility for Klal Yisroel have always been central to Bnos,’ says Mrs. Chana Baila Hass, Bnos’ national director. “This telephone conference allowed leaders and advisors to share their ideas and experience the benefits of being part of a national organization.”

Bnos Agudath Israel, the girls’ division of Agudath Israel of America, has been providing fun-filled Shabbos programs with a purpose for over 70 years. Branch leaders are high school-age volunteers who serve as the “head counselors” of the program, supervising leaders and running branch events.
