The state prosecutor�s office has announced it will not be moving ahead with criminal charges against Arab MK Dr. Ahmed Tibi for his statement in which he labeled yishuvim throughout Yehuda and Shomron �a cancerous growth�.

According to Assistant District Attorney Shai Nitzan, the MK�s statement is not a violation of the law that warrants opening a criminal investigation.

Nachi Eyal of the Eretz Yisrael Legal Forum released a statement in response to the decision, expressing his frustration over the fact that the �settlers are the only sector in Israel against whom one may state whatever one wishes without ramifications�.
