Israel: Gasoline Price Increase Again

At midnight Tuesday night, gasoline prices will increase once again accompanied by the 1% increase in value added tax. The price of a liter of 95 octane at self-service pumps will be NIS 6.35, the equivalent of $6.46/US gallon.

The price increase is attributed to the increase in VAT, an increase in gas tax, and an increase in oil prices. Since January 1, 2009, gasoline prices have increased 30% with tonight’s increase being the third in 6 weeks.
