Another Murder: Jerusalem Woman Stabbed to Death

mishtn.jpgTzipora Nechamo A”H, 59, became another homicide statistic in Eretz Yisrael as the horrific news of the past weeks continues to plague the media.

Police emergency dispatchers received a call at 5:30pm of a reported stabbing on Einstein Street in the Armon HaNatziv neighborhood, arriving to find the dead body in a pool of blood. A neighbor, a male in his 40s, is the chief suspect. The suspect was found holding a knife when police entered. It is unclear if it has been established if the knife was the murder weapon.

Some reports indicate the attack was the result of an argument pertaining to terms of the victim’s lease, who was renting from the suspect, the apartment owner.

In other case of what appears to be growing nationwide violence, a 17-year-old male is in custody for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old in Givatayim at about 1:00am, the result of an argument over a cigarette.

The suspect is being brought before a remand hearing on Wednesday afternoon. The victim remains in critical condition in a Tel Aviv areas hospital. The attack occurred in a park on Knesset Street in Givatayim.

In another case, the death of Lod resident Refael Mirilishvilli, police announced the autopsy seems to  indicate the death was not the result of a homicide. More information will be reported as the lifting of a gag order on the case permits.
