On motzei shabbos, visitors arriving at the Tzion of Amora R� Avdimi Dahan Haifa were shocked to see the damage from a vandalism attack. They immediately summoned HaRav Yisrael Kopel, a Chief Rabbinate representative responsible for the area, who in turn summoned police to report the outrageous attack.

Ladaat.net reports R� Kopel spoke of �sifrei kodesh thrown on the ground, tzedaka boxes broken open and the money stolen and the mechitza destroyed�.

Police are investigating. Rabbonim are calling for increased police patrols for kivrei tzaddikim.
