Update on HaRav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita

7:00AM IL: Shaare Zedek Hospital officials report former Chief Rabbi HaRav Mordechai Eliyahu Shlita remains in serious condition following surgery.

The Rav was rushed to the hospital earlier this week after collapsing in his Kiryat Moshe home. A CT conducted on the Rav Tuesday afternoon signaled a serious problem that demanded immediate surgical intervention.

The Tuesday afternoon operation involving the Rav’s intestinal track was to last a maximum of 3 hours but in actuality it lasted closer to 5, the result of complications.

Earlier in the week, slichos were said at the Kosel on the Rav’s behalf, led by Mekubal HaRav Yaakov Addis Shlita. The tzibur is requested to continue davening for Mordechai Tzemach ben Mazel. (Yechiel Spira – YWN Israel)

  1. Thank you YW for posting an update on his condition. May I ask that you kindly post more updates on people that you list as ill. We are davening for them, and concerned for them, and it is frustrating when no further news is posted. One recent example: HOW IS REBBITZEN SALOMON DOING? Nothing further was ever posted about her and it would be very much appreciated if we could know. Thank you!

  2. Rebbetzin Salomon shetichyeh is B”H out of intensive care but of course still needs our tfillos (heard from a close relative of hers)
