Mitzpei Ami Outpost Removed on Sunday

ywnisrael2.jpgSecurity officials on Sunday morning removed the residents of the Shomron outpost of Mitzpei Ami, near Kedumim. The 13 inhabitants of the community were arrested after they refused orders leave the premises.

Established in 2009, Mitzpei Ami, also known as Shvut Ami Bet, was established in August 2009 as part of Shvut Ami.

A number of the detainees were remanded on Sunday. Activists vow the decision to evict them will only lead to the establishment of additional outposts, stating they will not be deterred by the government’s continued policy against building Eretz Yisrael.
