Cops Come Under Attack While Dealing with Suspicious Object in Meah Shearim


mishtara2.jpgPolice on Monday evening were attacked with rocks as they dealt with a suspicious item in Jerusalem at the intersection of Shivtei Yisrael and Meah Shearim Streets. Baruch Hashem, there were no injuries. The police vehicle’s windshield was smashed however.

Police announced on Monday night they are searching for suspects, believed to be members of the chareidi community.

  1. They should lock the culprits up for a long time and maybe these chilul hashem people will learn their lesson. Hopefully they were not charaidim!!

  2. I would love to see the police captain make an official visit to head of eidah charedus and ask for their position and response.
    PS At the same time the rabbis can present their complaints.
    Anyone care to comment? (dont say it wont help, until its been tried.) Oh, and have an independant witness, so that no one can claim the other side is misrepresenting.
    It may be some “individuals” , but we don’t see any “mechoas”.

  3. The Meah Shearim frum community does not get it.

    If you give a GREEN LIGHT to attack police, govt officals and others for religious and just reasons there is no way to have the same youths use sechel in discerning times when police, ambulance workers, govt officals are welcomed and needed for assistance.
