Sheikh Raid Salah, who heads the northern branch of the Israel Islamic Association, was convicted in the Jerusalem Magistrate�s Court on Thursday of taking part in riots in Jerusalem�s Old City in 2007 as well as assaulting police.

Salah plays a major role in inciting Har HaBayis violence and regularly lectures to spread his anti-Israel message, working tenaciously to enlist the international Islamic community against Israel, focusing on obtaining total Arab control of the holy areas of Yerushalayim.
