The Knesset Finance Committee headed by MK (Yahadut HaTorah) R� Moshe Gafne has approved NIS 10.7 million in funding for yeshivos ketanos. The funds were expeditiously transferred with the assistance of Deputy Finance Minister R� Yitzchak Cohen. The funding relates to retroactive funding dating back to 5769.

The Knesset committee also approved NIS 5 million for Jewish cultural projects, as well as NIS 1 million for Torah institutions as per a request from Gafne. Another NIS 2 million was approved as per the coalition agreement with Shas and there was also funding for special education institutions.
