During a visit to the northern border on Tuesday, Defense Minister Ehud Barak sent another message to Hizbullah, stating “I advise the other side not to launch another conflict”.

Speaking to soldiers in a border outpost, the minister added that the deterrence achieved in the Second Lebanon War still serves to maintain quiet in the region together with the ongoing efforts of the soldiers serving in the area. Barak added “I hope the quiet continues but if it does not, and it can change instantly, we are ready for anything”.

When asked about the Iron Dome short-range rocket defense system, he praised the achievement and explained it will be deployed in stages during the coming years.
