VIDEO & PHOTOS: Neturei Karta Traveled to Bnei Brak to Protest Presidential Visit

[VIDEO & PHOTO LINKS OF PERES AT PONOVEZH BELOW] As reported earlier, most Bnei Brak residents were less than pleased with the pashkavilim appearing on Wednesday morning protesting the day’s visit of President Shimon Peres.

In addition to the protest, the harsh language used to express displeasure with the presidential event left many locals embarrassed and angered.

It appears that two busloads of Neturei Karta members/supporters traveled from Beit Shemesh to make their opposition known, opting to launch their protest outside the home of Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita.

As was reported earlier, a large police presence accompanied the president along with Shin Bet agents, with authorities not taking any chances.

According to a Kol Chareidi report released Wednesday afternoon, there were no rocks thrown near Maran R’ Shteinman’s Shlita home despite reports to the contrary earlier in the day.

  1. Ah, but the pictures are beautiful: to see all those bodyguards wearing kippot, and that wonderful picture of the cameraman peering at an open gemara.
