Channel 1 correspondent Uri Revach was questioned by authorities regarding a kenos he covered some two years ago, during which the Land of Israel Movement gave cash prizes to Duchifat soldiers who refused to remove Jews from the Shalhevet neighborhood of Chevron.

Revach was questioned regarding the tone of the kenos and anything relevant that he learned that may not have appeared in his news report. He did not cooperate with officials, other than telling him he saw people who were indeed committed to their struggle for Eretz Yisrael. He told officials that providing any additional information would compel him to violate the journalist’s code of ethics.

Revach is quoted in the weekly B’Sheva saying “They are trying to use me in an unacceptable fashion – trying to intimidate me. I will not be intimidated and will continue to cover all events of public interests, including those affiliated with the struggle for Eretz Yisrael”.
