Israel: 150 Percent Increase in Arab Terror in March 2010


 It appears that White House statements of the PA’s yearning for peace are not shared by the populace, at least according to statistics released regarding terror attack during March 2010.

125 attacks against Israelis were documented in March as compared to 53 in February. According to the Shin Bet, no less than 35 rockets were fired into southern Israel along with 6 mortar shells. There were 36 attacks along the Gaza border, compared to 13 in February.

The same scenario played out throughout Yehuda and Shomron, recording 89 attacks in March compared to 40 in the previous month. 79 firebombs were hurled in March compared to 36 in February. Jerusalem also saw a sharp increase in March, with 27 attacks recorded compared to 3 in February.

Unfortunately, the increase in attacks resulted in three deaths, including two IDF soldiers and a Thai worker, killed in a rocket attack. Four Israelis were injured by gunfire. In February, one soldier was killed in a Shomron stabbing attack and another injured.
