IDF Navy Rescues a Yacht

On Monday (April 5) an IDF Naval boat rescued an Israeli yacht that was stranded at sea after its engine stopped. The incident took place early in the morning.

The IDF Naval boat received a distress signal from the yacht which had been traveling from Cyprus to Israel.

On board the yacht was a family of eight, including quintuplets. Upon evaluation, the Israeli Navy was concerned that the yacht would be swept into the coast of Lebanon. At this point it was decided to perform a rescue, even though there were concerns of enemy ships in the area.

When the IDF crew arrived to the yacht, the combat soldiers repaired the engine, allowing the yacht to sail back safely to the shores of Israel.
