A 17-year-old PA resident armed with a large knife was taken into custody in the Afula police station. In a strange sequence of events, the youth entered the police station during the predawn hours, prompting suspicion among police, leading to the discovery of the large knife and the arrest.

During questioning, he admitted that he was planning to carry out a terrorist attack, to stab a Jews. Police theorize that he was sent to perpetrate and attack and got cold feet on the way. The suspect was turned over to the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) which is attempting to ascertain who sent him to carry out an attack.
