Omri Sharon: My father is responsive

sharon.jpgAccording to a JTA report, Former Israeli PM Ariel Sharon’s condition has improved and he is responsive. Israel’s Channel 10 television on Friday quoted Omri Sharon (son) as saying that his bedridden father watches TV and can answer questions such as “Does it hurt?” by moving his eyes and clenching his hand. Doctors who have been caring for Sharon have declined comment. He is in a long-term coma ward and is not expected to make a full recovery.

  1. Monsuier Sharon: Was it worth it now in hindsight to give away what Hashem giveth? Health-wise gam politically, it seems as if it was a death-wise.

  2. says in yaaros devash we must be mispallel for every jew to have a refuah shelaima even a rasha because if he dies without teshuva it brings “charon af” to the whole world, even good people.

  3. yaari:
you’re absolutely right! – remember R. Amnon Yitzhak’s mocking of Sharon’s election campaign? “Sharon yavi charon” (Sharon will bring anger)

  4. Too easy to be harsh! Look at yaari levin’s post. I’m not a liberal telling anyone to love a rasha. I am a skeptic suggesting that your motivations are not as l’sheim sh’mayim as you may claim. Davin for him to do tshuvah. Maybe if we only knew how to reach out a little bit more gently and correctly.

  5. I would not trust a word Omri says unless independently verified. Obviously, Omri’s own agenda is advanced with the perception that his father, the incapacitated former Prime Minister, is alert and responsive.
The main stream media completely ignored the story which is telling. Simply from a medical perspective, this would be huge news.
