Emanuel Parents Seeking Foster Homes for 2 Weeks

Parents belonging to the Slonimer Chassidus in Emanuel, 43 families, began seeking foster case for their approximately 250 children for the next two weeks, during which they expect to be sitting in prison. In accordance with the High Court of Justice’s decision of Tuesday, June 15th, if the parents do not accept the court’s decree by day’s end, tomorrow, June 17th, the parents will be compelled to begin a two-week prison term.

Chareidi spokesman Dudi Zilbershlag explains to the media that the parents will indeed be going to prison, for they have no alternative, since disregarding the instructions of the Slonimer Rebbe is not an option. He rejects allegations of discrimination in Emanuel, insisting the decision to accept or reject a child is based on lifestyle, not one’s Ashkenazi or Sephardi ethnicity.
