Egypt has reportedly deployed about 40,000 troops to the Sinai Peninsula�nearly double the limit set by the 1979 Egypt�Israel Peace Treaty�saying the move is a defensive measure to block a potential mass influx of Palestinians if Israel forces them�out�of�Gaza.
