Since late August, over 550,000 Palestinians have fled Gaza City for the south of the Strip, the military says, as the IDF intensifies its offensive against Hamas. Before the attacks, Gaza City was home to roughly one million people, all of whom the military has ordered to move to an Israeli-designated “humanitarian zone” in the south.
