Trump Commutes George Santos’ Sentence, Orders Immediate Release

President Donald Trump announced Friday that he has commuted the prison sentence of former GOP Rep. George Santos, ordering his immediate release. Santos, 37, served less than a year in Congress before being expelled in December 2023 amid multiple scandals. His plea for clemency came in a letter filled with praise for Trump earlier this week.
