It has been cleared for publication that the IDF Southern Command and the Shin Bet arrested Marwan Al-hametz, a Hamas terrorist who took part in determining the death of Lt. Hadar Goldin and is suspected of knowing where he was buried inside the “Dror Lavan” tunnel in Rafah.

Al-hametz was captured in July 2025 during a joint operation by IDF Southern Command and the Shin Bet, with assistance from Military Intelligence. According to the findings, he participated in confirming Goldin’s death and is suspected of having knowledge of the burial site within the Dror Lavan tunnel.
