Yesterday evening, Border Guard fighters and the Crossings Unit at the Ofer checkpoint spotted a suspicious vehicle near the separation fence on Road 443. The driver, dressed in an IDF uniform with the rank of Major (res.) and wearing flip-flops, claimed he was a reservist giving two passengers a ride.

Investigation revealed his service ended three weeks ago, and he allegedly wore the uniform to avoid inspection. The two passengers, West Bank residents without permits, and the driver were arrested and taken for further questioning.
