BREAKING: Jack Smith has been subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee to sit for a deposition.

He has been ordered to appear on December 17.

The committee says he possesses “vital” information for its oversight because of his work as former Special Counsel.

The subpoena also demands all documents and communications from his time in that role.

The deposition will take place behind closed doors.
