In an interview with CBS, Sheina Gutnick said her father, Reuven Morrison HY״D, who was killed during the Hanukkah celebration terrorist attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, confronted one of the attackers in an effort to protect others. She said her father threw a brick at one of the terrorists and was killed while trying to stop the attack.

Sheina described her father, a 62-year-old Soviet-born member of Australia’s Jewish community, as a man of immense generosity, saying, “If there was one way for him to go on this earth, it would be fighting a terrorist. He went down fighting, protecting the people he loved the most.”
