Against the backdrop of the further slump in the Iranian rial, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said this morning:

“You are asking us for more money. We have already given everything we have.
You want higher salaries? Then tell me from where should I bring the money?
Our oil is under sanctions, and we are pushing ourselves into a crisis”.
