Prime Minister Netanyahu met today in Jerusalem with Paul Atkins, Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The meeting focused on the possibility of advancing a mutual recognition framework for securities registration, similar to the U.S. Multi-Jurisdictional Disclosure System (MJDS).
The proposed move is aimed at easing the process for Israeli companies listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange to also register for trading in the United States, while reducing regulatory duplication and improving access to international capital markets.
