Bronx Apartment Fire Leaves 76 Homeless, 2 Dead: At least 76 people were left homeless after a deadly apartment fire ripped through a five-story building in the Bronx on Tuesday afternoon, killing two and injuring nearly a dozen. The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. on East 187th Street and quickly spread from the first floor to the upper levels. The victims’ identities have not yet been released, and at least two people remain in serious condition.
