
Efforts to advance Israel’s draft law have been halted for now, despite signals from Prime Minister Netanyahu and Boaz Bismuth that they were prepared to move forward at the request of the Charedi parties.
According to reports, Harav Moshe Hillel Hirsch Shlita voiced reservations over the framework, citing concerns that Torah institutions would be unable to meet enforcement conditions.
Charedi sources said the position may not be final, with further efforts expected when Harav Moshe Hillel Hirsch Shlita returns from abroad.
Shas and Degel HaTorah have told coalition leaders not to proceed at this stage without guidance from the Gedolim.
