House Republicans Pass 215–211 Budget Framework Advancing ICE and Border Funding Plan

A short time ago, House Republicans narrowly passed a 215–211 budget framework along party lines, clearing an initial step toward advancing roughly $70 billion in funding for ICE and Border Patrol through the reconciliation process, allowing them to move forward without Democratic support. The measure does not allocate funding yet, with additional votes in both the House and Senate still required before it can become law.
