Iran Proposes Hormuz Reopening, End to Blockade in Broad Ceasefire Plan

Iran proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending the U.S. blockade while postponing nuclear talks, in a plan conveyed via mediators.

• The proposal includes U.S. troop withdrawal, sanctions relief, release of frozen assets, compensation, ending fighting across all fronts, including Lebanon, and a new framework for the strait.

• The plan follows Iran’s broader 14-point proposal delivered through Pakistani mediators, pushing for a full end to the war within 30 days rather than a temporary ceasefire, according to Tasnim News Agency.
