U.S.-Led Board of Peace Signals Gaza Ceasefire Not Binding If Hamas Rejects Disarmament Deal

The U.S.-led Board of Peace will not require Israel to adhere to Gaza ceasefire terms if Hamas refuses a disarmament framework, according to a TOI report.

• In a letter, envoys said failure by Hamas to accept the plan would render ceasefire commitments “null and void,” allowing Israel to resume operations.

• Hamas has rejected full disarmament, insisting it be tied to a broader deal including a Palestinian state, while pushing Israel to fully implement phase one of the ceasefire.

• Israel has continued near-daily strikes citing “imminent threats,” while preparing for a possible renewed offensive if talks collapse.
