CENTCOM confirms U.S. forces carried out self-defense strikes in southern Iran today, targeting Iranian missile launch sites and boats attempting to lay naval mines near Bandar Abbas.

A CENTCOM spokesperson told reporter Howard Altman the strikes were conducted “to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces,” adding that U.S. Central Command “continues to defend our forces while using restraint during the ongoing ceasefire.”
