Suffern Mayor and Rockland Country Executive candidate Dagan Lacorte released the following statement today after�the news that an attorney for the East Ramapo Central School District�went�haywire against an activist parent:

The troubles of the East Ramapo School District are no secret� but just when I thought it couldn�t get any worse, the district�s taxpayer-funded lawyer let loose with a tirade worthy of George Karlin, not a lawyer for Rockland�s kids.

Christopher Kirby repeatedly dropped the F-bomb on parents and school activists, using repulsive language that degrades women�s bodies.

We would never tolerate that in the classroom.� And we can�t tolerate it from any school official.� That�s why Kirby needs to be fired- now.

While I will work with all parties in East Ramapo, I was disappointed that my opponent David Fried�s response to these disgusting remarks was to call for a �conversation� in East Ramapo.� And even that mild rebuke only came under pressure.� Ilan Schoenberger has said nothing at all.

I commend Senator David Carlucci for his strong and unequivocal denunciation of Kirby�s conduct.

There is a time for conversation and a time for outrage.

And when a school district lawyer�calls a parent�and taxpayer a profanity, it�s time for outrage.
