NYC To Release Review Of Storm Preparedness

oemNew York City officials will release a report on the city’s preparedness for Superstorm Sandy and its response to the massive storm that hit the region six months ago.

The recommendations include buying more police and Fire Department boats. They also call for more mobile light towers to use on the streets during a blackout.

Deputy mayors Cas Holloway and Linda Gibbs will discuss more details at a midday briefing on Friday.

Holloway joined Mayor Michael Bloomberg on his radio show on WOR Friday morning. He said the report contains 60 recommendations in six categories.
